Do you offer also royalty-free images?

We offer two different licensing options: traditionally licensed imagery with online usage history and a options for exclusive usage + royalty free licensed imagery.

What information does the download history show?

The download history includes:

  • Download date
  • Whether the content has been used editorially or commercially
  • Media type: print, online or broadcast
  • Business area
  • Size of estimated target audience
Please note that the download history can be shown only for exclusive category images!

Are there any limits to how many images I can download during my membership?

For 3 and 6 month subscriptions the limit is 50 images / month. For 12 month subscriptions, you may download any number of images; however, our License Agreement stipulates that the first publication must be done within two months of an image download or it should be deleted from the download history.

How large are the files I am able to download?

All images are available in several sizes at no extra cost. The largest file is always at least 30 MB. However, most of the content is available in sizes greater than 50 MB.

What does "frozen image" mean?

Frozen images cannot be viewed or downloaded. Freezing removes the content from public visibility in selected territories and reserves it for the exclusive use of the member freezing it. Please note that only Exclusive category files can be frozen.

Can I download several files at once?

Yes. You can collect several files in your shopping basket and download them all conveniently in one ZIP file from the download page. You also may download images one by one.

Can I use the images if I’m not a member?

Sure, you can buy any number of images and pay with credit card. Please refer to our pricelist for further details.

Can I share my username and password with others?

No. Username and password are solely for personal use, and sharing them with anyone else is strictly prohibited. For information about our cost-effective multi-user licenses, please contact customer service.

May I continue using the images after my subscription has ended?

For exclusive license images: Yes and No. Yes, because our License Agreement allows that all images downloaded and published during membership may be used for an unlimited time in their original use. No, because an active subscription is required to re-download and complete a new usage report if the images are applied in any new, unreported usage.

For royalty free license images: Yes. You are allowed to use the image as many times as you like.

Can I use the images in projects for my clients or my employer's clients?

Yes. You are permitted to use Pixhill.com images on behalf of your client or employer for the purposes outlined in our End User Licensing Agreement. However, you are not permitted to make the images available to your clients outside of a layout or product that you yourself design or create.

Am I allowed to store Pixhill.com images in an online image gallery or use them in generic e-cards, templates or equivalent?

You may not store or distribute any images as they are (online image gallery etc.) but you can buy an extended license to use the images in sellable products. Please refer to our pricelist for further details.
